
In conjunction with the SMU Homecoming celebration this week, Sept. 23rd – 26th, the Meadows School of the Arts is hosting an open house on Friday, September 25th, 4 – 5 pm, for alumni and friends in the newly renovated lobby of the Hamon Arts Library.
Guests are invited to attend a reception and view two new exhibitions in the Library – Fashion Design Sketches by Nancy B. Hamon, (circa 1933 – 1942) from the papers of Jake and Nancy Hamon, eponymous donors of the Library; and Paper Dolls, an installation of works by Justin and Colleen Shull.Justin is a former adjunct professor of art at SMU and Colleen is a recent MFA graduate of the Meadows program. Dean Sam Holland and a few faculty will make remarks on current news in the Meadows School of the Arts curricula during the reception.
